On track with...

Keely Hodgkinson
Welcome to our newest Vitality Magazine column where we hear from Ambassadors and friends of Vitality to get the inside track on their healthy habits and hacks.
To kick things off in 2026, we caught up with Keely Hodgkinson, who is about to complete her debut year as a Vitality Ambassador.
In this version of On track with, Keely lifts the lid on a very British Sunday ritual and that it’s okay to give into the occasional guilty pleasure – just make sure you don’t leave any chocolate lying around.

What ritual do you start your day with?
I always start my day with a glass of water. It’s healthy but it’s a really good habit and hydration obviously in my line of work is really important.
What’s your go-to guilty pleasure?
Chocolate! My go-to treat is definitely chocolate any day of the week – a chocolate a day keeps the doctor away*.
*not strictly true!
What’s a mantra you live by?
One of my favourite quotes is ‘always earnt, never given’; so, I use that to remind myself that hard work gets you to where you want to be.
What’s your wellness fix?
I really like to meditate. I think that it really calms your nervous system down and if I’m ever feeling a little bit stressed, or there’s a big event coming up, it grounds me and helps me feel more emotionally stable.

What’s your weekend ritual?
I will finish training on a Saturday morning and have the rest of the weekend off. Then I will probably spend a lot of that lying down, relaxing and recovering because we train so hard, but I also love to spend time with my family and friends.
Do you have any hobbies?
I get obsessed with random things. I’ll pick up random hobbies. Last year, I tried to learn how to play the piano, knit things and crotchet things. Then I got obsessed with drawing things, then I got obsessed with listening to music, then trying to learn a new language. Or it could be something to do with fashion.
Do you have a hidden talent?
Magic tricks! Watch the video to see.
When you’re with friends, what’s the vibe?
We might do a spa day, go shopping – we just do what most girls do, to be honest. Most Sundays, I’ll cook them a big Sunday roast. They’ll come round and we might do an activity, eat some food, it’s become a bit of a ritual – very British!
What goal are you chasing in 2026?
We’ve got a lot going on in the 2026 calendar with the return of the Europeans in Birmingham; the Commonwealth Games are in the UK as well and then I’ll be at the new World Ultimate Championships, so I’m really looking forward to that. That is a big goal of mine: to defend my title and just have a healthy year.
